The term 'Index Trade' refers to a 50/50 wager that can be placed through certain specialist bookmakers on whether a particular Stock Market Index will move 'up' or 'down' over any specified time period (e.g. Market Close). To profit from these movements we use a variety of market indicators to predict the direction of an Index movement. We then select a safe time period for our bet to conclude so we can finalise it effectively.
